Date: Saturday, November 8, 2025
Hours: 9:00am to 1:00pm
On Saturday, November 8th, 2025, residents can bring electronic waste and used tires to Case Community Center from 9:00am to 1:00pm to be properly disposed of and recycled.
Each citizen is allowed to drop off up to 10 tires. This event will only accept automobile tires, no tractor tires, and rims must be removed.
Electronic waste items must be 50 pounds or less per item. We are unable to take refrigerators, freezers, or AC units. There is a processing fee for televisions ($26 each) and computer monitors ($10 each). If you are bringing either of those items, please pay in advance on www.metrecycle.com under “E-Waste Payments.” We will be accepting cash and card payments at the event, but prepaying will help speed up the process for everyone’s convenience.
We will also be accepting cardboard, plastic grocery bags, batteries, and fire extinguishers.
This event is for residents only; no businesses.
Used tires pose many hazards when they are not recycled. These hazards include:
- Pest and Virus Threats: Old tires can be a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other pests which can be a health hazard because these pests carry diseases.
- Fire Risk: Used tires are highly flammable. Tire fires are difficult to extinguish and produce a toxic smoke that is harmful to humans and the environment.
- Landfill Space: According to the EPA, around 40% of tires produced in 2018 were recycled. This means about 2.55 million tons of tires went to the landfill that year. Old tires take up crucial landfill space even though they are 100% recyclable.
Fees apply to these items only:
- Televisions: $26 each
- Computer Monitors: $10 each
Payments may be made in advance on www.metrecycle.com under “E-Waste Payments.”
Cash and Card payments will be accepted at the event. All other accepted items are free to drop off.
